About the Artwork

Rove is a bronze sculpture composed of standing stones from Britain and Ireland, digitally recorded through 3D scanning and reassembled into a new contemporary megalith. The work explores movement, memory and shared histories embedded within the landscape. It also reflects the ethos of my practice: working outside traditional production structures, I have built my own studio and foundry and undertake every stage of production, from digital capture and modelling to mould making, casting and finishing. As a self-taught fine art foundryman, I combine emerging technologies with traditional bronze casting, creating
ambitious work through resourcefulness, experimentation and independent making.
