ABOUT THE ARTIST

Elena Unger (b. 1997, Canada) is a London-based artist. She studied Fine Art at CSM and Goldsmiths, and Philosophy at the University of Cambridge. Unger produces detailed oil paintings in miniature and monumental scales. Her works form part of an apocalyptic world, approached through a documentary lens.
Unger extends her work into curation. projects include an exhibition in partnership with James Freeman Gallery at Saint Bartholomew the Great, she artist in residence. Unger is a Freeman of the Painter-Stainers. Unger frequently exhibits in the UK, including a recent solo show at Pontone Gallery, and is featured in collections internationally.
