About the Artwork
Redacted Space is constructed from the remnants of a renovation to my bedroom after mould was discovered in my wardrobe.
For three months, the room I associated with comfort, privacy, and rest became a site of disruption and uncertainty. Using discarded materials from the renovation, I reconfigured the physical debris into a new imagined space. Arranged from above, the fragments suggest a floor plan, city view, or fragmented landscape. The process of making became a way of reclaiming somewhere that had felt temporarily lost, transforming frustration into an act of repair.
